The Schmidt-Stübl is the best place to have steaks that I know. Next to their recommended portions of steaks (200, 250, or 300 grams) you can order your favorite steak just by giving the amount of meat you want to face with. My very good friend Oliver, who took me there, ordered a 700g steak (I was disappointed that he didn’t take that 1kg monster). With every steak dish they serve the best mixed salad I’ve ever had in a restaurant. It’s very fresh and really fondly prepared. The salad comes with self made bread and several very delicious dip-sauces - also self made I guess. It was really one of the best meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant - my complements!

My favorite fast food restaurant in Stuttgart is the GIO Asia Gourmet-Imbiss. The very friendly owners and the big amount of cooks and waitresses serve delicious food varying from typical Thai food to all kinds of Asian dishes. The quality of the food is very good for the low price. It’s fresh made and often more than enough to feed you up for the rest of the day. Next to the good priced fast food the menu covers higher priced and elaborated dishes for the demanding customer. I don’t know if the food is really original. I guess the recipes are modified a little bit for the average European. But the food tastes great, anyway. I always enjoy the Thai food very much.
